Soap Bars
How to use a natural soap bar
Lather with warm water between your hands or on a washcloth. Apply to skin, then rinse thoroughly. Allow the bar to dry between uses on a draining soap dish — this extends its life significantly. A 4 oz bar typically lasts 3-4 weeks with daily use.
Shampoo Bars
Transitioning to a shampoo bar
Wet hair thoroughly. Rub the bar directly onto scalp in circular motions, or lather in hands first. Massage into roots, then work through lengths. Rinse with warm water. A vinegar rinse (1 tbsp apple cider vinegar in 1 cup water) helps remove buildup during the first 1-2 weeks of transition.
Body Mist
Applying body mist
Hold 6-8 inches from skin and spray onto pulse points — wrists, neck, behind ears. Apply to clean, dry skin. Reapply as desired throughout the day. Body mists are lighter than perfumes and designed for all-over application.
Bath Bombs
Using bath bombs and soaks
Fill bathtub with warm water to desired level. Drop in the bath bomb and allow it to fizz and dissolve completely. For bath soaks, add 1/2 cup to running water. Soak for 15-20 minutes. Rinse tub after use to prevent staining from botanical ingredients.
Natural Deodorant
Switching to natural deodorant
Apply to clean, dry underarms. A pea-sized amount per arm is sufficient for stick or cream formulas. During the first 1-2 weeks, your body may adjust from aluminum-based antiperspirants. Reapply midday if needed during transition. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Body Lotion
When to apply body lotion
Apply to damp skin immediately after showering or bathing — this locks in moisture. Use a quarter-sized amount per limb, massaging in upward circular motions. Focus on dry areas like elbows, knees, and heels. Reapply as needed throughout the day.
